Round 6 of the AFLW season has been released – the highlight of which is a blockbuster clash between Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs at Victoria Park on Sunday.
For several other teams, this is just about the last roll of the dice, with the Giants’ finals hopes hinging on a tough home clash with the Brisbane Lions in what will be the first AFL or AFLW match to be played in Canberra since August 2019.
St Kilda’s finals aspirations will also go on the line when they face Melbourne at Casey Fields, while we will have our first return clash in AFLW history when the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle contest the second Western Derby of the season, to be played with fans in attendance.

Collingwood s AFLW premiership hopes have taken a hit, with Jordan Membrey ruled out for the remainder of the season because of a serious knee injury.

Three knee injuries, one a confirmed ACL tear, have cast a shadow over the weekendâs AFLW fixtures, while Collingwood have gone clear at the top of the ladder by extending their unbeaten season to a five-win streak.
Geelong confirmed on Sunday that Olivia Purcell had ruptured her ACL in Friday nightâs loss to Richmond, while Western Bulldogs player Deanna Berry suffered a serious knee injury on Saturday, and Collingwoodâs Jordan Membrey underwent an ACL test after going to the bench injured on Sunday.
