Meghalaya: MeECL employees to protest non-receipt of salaries on Dec 15
A series of protests have been planned from Dec 15 onwards. MeECL has also threatened to go for a total shutdown on Jan 22

Meghalaya: The employees of Meghalaya Energy Corporation Ltd (MeECL) has decided to hold a series of protests on December 15 against non-receipt of salaries.
The Coordination Committee of Registered MeECL Employees Associations and Unions (CCORMAU) on Friday in a meeting in Shillong announced to launch the agitation programmes.
Salaries of MeECL employees have been pending for the last two months.
CCORMAU also plans to stage a hunger strike on December 16 and 17. The employees will suspend all maintenance works during office hours from 10 am to 4 pm on December 21. To push for fulfillment of their demand the non-factory workers will go on a mass casual leave and march to the State Secretariat on January 12. On January 18, the workers association
