This was exacerbated by the second wave of COVID-19 infections. Protests against the shortages, the March of the Millions expressing dissatisfaction with the slow pace of implementing the aims of the revolution, and frustration and concerns about security issues were widespread. The terms of the Juba agreement were also not welcomed everywhere, and the Eastern Sudan protocol of the agreement triggered clashes.
