The USA school district had received a $10,000 grant in the late winter/early spring of 2020 for acquiring Wi-Fi hotspots, which were given out to students who were at home during the lockdown of spring 2020. George Rierson, the superintendent of USA Schools, said the district ended up with 75 hotspots total, with some of them purchased through another grant the district received. He said the hotspots have been helpful for seniors who were transitioning into becoming college students.

USA Schools has new COVID-19 case Staff member is probable positive FacebookTwitterEmail USA Schools (Tribune File Photo) The Unionville-Sebewaing Area School District announced that one of its staff members is a probable positive COVID-19 case. “The district is coordinating closely with the Huron County Health Department to assure our community’s health and safety,” superintendent George Rierson said in the announcement. The staff member identified is not a teacher and the district was notified of the probable positive on Monday morning. The district performed contact tracing with the health department and identified all close contacts through video to identify those who were around the individual for a cumulative 15 minutes.
