Found in light brown and white colours, Nadru is a bulbous rhizome, a kind of root, used as a vegetable by people. Scientifically known as Nelumbo Nucifera, Nadru is the root of Lotus Plant which grows two to three feet deep in ponds and water stagnant areas of tropical regions.
