The Food Establishment Inspection Report is a weekly report that appears Sundays. Information is taken from reports provided by the Environmental Health Department, and individual reports can be viewed at its website, amarillo.gov/departments/community-services/environmental-health/food-inspections. A numerical grading system is now being used, with a score of 100 points being equivalent to zero demerits.
• 100 points – No major violation at the time of inspection
• 85 points – Considered an average score
• 70 points or below – Requires re-inspection within 24 hours
• COS – Corrected on site during inspection
These points correspond to the following letter grades:
Battling women s groups to stage Food Fight

The Junior League of Wichita Falls and the Junior League of Lawton will square off Saturday in their 6th Annual Food Fight.
Unlike the iconic scene from Animal House, no mashed potatoes will be hurled in this food fight. The two women s groups will compete to see who can raise the most food for their respective food banks.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., volunteers will be at United Market Street, 4590 Kell Blvd., where residents may drive up with food donations. Food donated here will go to the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.
The Junior League of Wichita Falls has partnered with the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank for the 6th Annual 'Food Fight' this Saturday at United Market Street.

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - The Wichita Falls Police Department are asking for help identifying a catalytic converter thief.
On Wednesday, police reported a suspect removed a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked in the United Regional Health Care Systems parking lot.
The suspect reportedly drove a green-like colored Toyota Corolla with a paper tag. WFPD need help identifying suspect. (Source: Wichita Falls Police Department Facebook)
