Statistics of primary school offer places revealed The overwhelming majority of school children in Sutton secured a place at one of their preferred primary schools on the UK s National Offer Day 2021 (April 16). Sutton Council has revealed that 97% of families in the borough who applied are being offered a place at one of their preferred options. Council authorities confirmed that there was 2,563 Sutton resident applications for September 2021. All pupils that applied have been offered a place at school and of those who applied, 2,440 (95%) of children received one of their top three preferences. It was reported that 2,207 (86%) were offered their first preference school.

Sutton Council said that it had outperformed other authorities in London with more than 95 per cent of pupils in the borough securing a place at a preferred secondary school. Some 95.4 percent of pupils were offered a place at one of their preferred schools in Sutton, compared to a reported 93.3 percent of children across the rest of London, the council said.
