Motorola has begun seeding the Android 10 firmware to the Moto G8 Play in Brazil. The firmware, QMD30.47-19, is the same Android 10 that Motorola pushed to the One Macro in India a few weeks ago and is about 1.46GB in size.
Android 10 brings along a number of improvements. It enables gesture navigation, dark theme, improved navigation panel and, in this case, the December 2020 security patch.
We haven’t had reports of Moto G8 Play devices outside of Brazil receiving the update, but if you have the device, do check in your software update menu to see if the OTA has arrived for you.

Motorola has started rolling out Android 10 update to its One Macro smartphone in India. To recall, Motorola One Macro was launched with Android Pie 9.0 back in October 2019.
The Android 10 update with the build number QMD30.47-19 comes with bug fixes and improvements. The update is said to be 1.46GB in size and it brings December 2020 Android security patch as well to the device.
As per a report by PiunikaWeb, the update is only available for users who were part of the soak testing phase in November last year. But the build should be available for other users in the coming days. Earlier this month, the stable Android 10 update was reportedly rolled out to users in Brazil.
Samsung is busy upgrading its smartphones to Android 11. Meanwhile, Motorola is now rolling out Android 10 for its One Macro smartphone. The company had reportedly started soak testing Android 10 on Motorola One Macro devices in India back in November. It had released to a few users. Now, the stable Android 10 update reportedly starting rolling out to users in Brazil as well as in India.
As per a user on Twitter, the stable Android 10 update comes with build number QMD30.47-19. The user claims they have been among the soak testers. This new update is 1.46GB in size. It also brings the December 2020 Android security patch. However, at the time of writing this, there is no official confirmation from the company regarding the rollout of Android 10 for the Motorola One Macro. Earlier this month, a Motorola administrator claimed on a forum community post that Android 10 was being tested on the phone and will roll out soon (via: Gadgets360).
