A One Year No Beer member taking the 90-day challenge AT the start of the year, and with hopes of emerging from the coronavirus pandemic on the horizon, I embarked on Dry January. Like many Brits, I reckon I drank more during 2020. With the pubs and restaurants shut, drinking at home became the norm for many – and I definitely felt it. Although I actually lost weight last year – about a stone between March and December thanks to eating less junk food – my alcohol intake increased. Cold beers in the garden during those lockdown summer months, a few cans every time the football was on (and it was on a lot), a glass of wine or three with dinner, a “well-earned” drink after a stressful day working from home with the kids running around my feet.

The singer, who said she now feels in a different headspace, admitted she had only just recovered from the stress of leaving the band and wouldn t have been able to consider a reunion.
Discussing her time in the band with Kym Marsh, Myleene Klass, Danny Foster and Noel Sullivan, Suzanne said: There was no human resources team considering the psychological impact on our mental health, as reality shows simply weren t a thing back then. We were the guinea pigs.

Suzanne has already raised more than £5,000 for the charity even before completing the mammoth challenge.

The run comes after Emmerdale star Suzanne revealed her struggles with depression and anxiety.
Speaking in a recent issue of Runner s World, she said that she only recently opened up about it because she wanted things to change . I ve struggled with depression and anxiety for more than 18 years, she explained. But it was only recently that I felt ready to open up about it because I wanted things to change.
