May 13, 2021 A Tennessee man has been sentenced to state prison in connection with a high-speed chase last year that sent two Florida Highway Patrol troopers to the hospital after their patrol cars crashed into each other. John Thomas Puckett of Dresden, Tennessee, was sentenced to nine years in prison followed by six years of probation for aggravated fleeing and eluding causing serious bodily injury, DUI causing property damage, driving without a valid license and battery on an EMT/paramedic. The charges stemmed from a May 12, 2020, chase. Puckett led the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office on a high-speed chase in a vehicle stolen in Mobile.

Police searching for man who allegedly abducted ex-girlfriend at Subway Updated May 12, 2021; WARREN, MI – Police are hunting for a suspect in the abduction of a 27-year-old woman from her place of work on Tuesday afternoon, WXYZ Detroit reports. The woman has since been found safe, but her ex-boyfriend Adrian Lamar Brown, 31, who allegedly kidnapped from a Subway in Warren remains on the run, the TV station reports. In addition to the incident, there is an active warrant for the Brown’s arrest for allegedly removing a tether. Warren Police consider him to be armed and dangerous. Someone called 911 to report a fight, but the suspect had fled with the victim by the time they arrived. A Henrico teen is in critical but stable condition after a shooting on Tuesday afternoon. On Tuesday just after noon, Henrico police received a report of a shooting in the 100 block of North Rose Avenue. The scene is located in Highland Springs near the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Airport Drive. Police arrived at the home to find a juvenile teenage man with a gunshot wound. The victim was been transported to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Fire destroys four units, damages others at Warren Manor Advertisement WARREN A fire in the midnight hour ravaged four units and damaged four more at the Warren Manor Apartments on Dequindre Road south of Nine Mile Road on May 8.  No injuries were reported among civilians or first responders, with the exception of a firefighter who tripped and rolled his ankle. The exact cause of the fire remained undetermined on May 11 and the investigation was ongoing.  “They got multiple calls for an apartment fire. Once they showed up, they were met by flames coming up from the upper part of the apartment,” Fire Chief Orrin Ferguson of the Warren Fire Department said. “They saw heavy smoke and flames on arrival.”
