A storm front ringing Perth with thunder and lightning has brought a month s worth of rainfall to the city before the first day of March is even over.
Forecasters only expect things to get wetter, with more storms expected on Tuesday and Wednesday and as much as triple the monthly average likely to fall by the end of the week.
Pictures from the Nine News Sky Cam showed a large storm cell rolling in on Monday afternoon, including a dramatic lightning strike on the city s South 32 building.

The worst of the weather has been north of the city, where the Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall throughout the Central West and parts of the Gascoyne, Lower West and Central Wheat Belt districts.
