The Darc Awards are considered the “Oscars” of lighting worldwide.
On the 30th of September 2020, the new lighting of the Acropolis and its monuments, funded and supported by the Onassis Foundation, was unveiled to the world.
A committee of reputable lighting designers and architects every year decide which projects will be nominated for the Darc Awards. In 2020, 400 entries were submitted from 40 countries.
14,000 people voted and the lighting of the Acropolis won three prestigious awards.
