Have You Seen this Flock of Turkeys in Sioux Falls?
You may have noticed a large flock of wild turkeys roaming the neighborhoods of Sioux Falls the past few weeks. The birds, largely spend most of their time near a few wooded areas within the city.
With a little over 6 months to go before Thanksgiving, these turkeys clearly have no fear, trotting around city parks and gobbling at passers-by.
Which areas of the city are these birds calling home these days? Well, it seems they have a few favorite spots around town.

The turkeys have been seen spending a lot of time in and around 57th and Minnesota, near the wooded area. They ve also been spotted numerous times around the Spencer Boulevard area and along Oxbow Avenue, near the Oxbow Park Apartments.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) Street construction update:
49th Street, Arway Drive to Carnegie Circle
Reconstruction Project
Beginning on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, utility work will begin at the intersection of 49th Street and Oxbow Avenue for the 49th Street, Arway Drive to Carnegie Circle reconstruction project.
Traffic will be shifted north along 49th Street the entire length of the project with one lane in each direction. Racket Drive and Oxbow Avenue will be closed to traffic. Access for Sanford Family Medicine and Sanford Wellness will be from 51st Street.
The intersection of 49th Street and Oxbow Avenue will be closed for ten working days. And the project should be fully complete by mid-August 2021.
