JEFFERSON CO., Ala. (WBRC) - Two men were arrested by Jefferson County Sheriffâs Deputies Friday afternoon after crashing a stolen vehicle during an attempt to elude police.
Deputies were alerted by flock technology of a stolen car in Eastern JeffCo around 12:30 p.m.
When deputies located the vehicle near I-59 NB in Roebuck, they attempted to perform a traffic stop but the driver refused to pull over. The driver attempted to pass a car near exit 166 and struck a large delivery truck. After the crash deputies were able to take the driver, 27-year-old Xavier Wright and passenger, 23-year old Joshua Thomas, into custody.
