ZHUJI, China, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) The Jiangsu Dragons took a narrow 110-106 victory over the Tianjin Pioneers to snap a six-game skid in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Friday.
Jiangsu also extended its winning streak against Tianjin to 12 matches, with its latest head-to-head defeat dating back to Dec. 23, 2015.
It was a see-saw battle throughout. Shi Hongfei grabbed an offensive rebound and drew a foul with 6.3 seconds remaining. The 27-year-old guard converted both free throws that earned a much-awaited win for Jiangsu.
Shi finished with 11 points, five rebounds and five assists. The international duo of Dezmine Wells and Devin Williams combined for 51 points.
