Social media app AppZaloot has launched, which uses geo-location to show users advertised deals in their neighbourhood.

Following a challenging year for many small businesses across Australia, AppZaloot founder Max Thomas is eager to give back to the community by offering free advertising for businesses nationwide on the recently launched social media platform.
After successful testing in local and international markets, AppZaloot has recently released its app to the Australian public. As well as offering users a new way of connecting with friends, influencers and their community, AppZaloot was designed to support merchants with a unique local advertising system.

As Collingwood Football Club grapples with the fallout from a damning report highlighting systemic racism within the organisation, leaders have been given a free showcase of precisely how not to approach public relations and comms in times of reputational crisis.
Club president Eddie McGuire who previously announced he would be stepping down at the end of 2021 responded to the leaked report on February 1, claiming it was “a historic and proud day” for the organisation.
That attracted derision and outrage, and left many commentators stunned. When your organisation is found to be a hotbed of systemic racism, a ‘proud day’ it is not.
