A TEENAGER who carried out two violent attacks at Glasgow s notorious Four Corners has been spared jail. Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that Taylor Thomson was caught on CCTV on two occasions, several months apart, attacking other young men. He had, the court was told, been in the habit of hanging around and drinking too much at the city centre trouble spot. In the first incident, prosecutor Aimee Doran told the court the 19-year-old was captured on camera on February 8, 2019, attacking an unknown man. Video footage showed Thomson, of Barlanark, chasing the man along Union Street in Glasgow city centre with other people.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard the 50-year-old had only just been released from prison when he was arrested for abusive and threatening behaviour in a branch of Marks and Spencers. Kevin McGuire attacked two police officers at Great Western Road TSB branch

A THUG who dragged two police officers into oncoming traffic blamed his actions on a hangover. Kevin McGuire had been waiting in a queue at a branch of TSB when he thought officers - who were there for something else entirely - were looking at him. Glasgow Sheriff Court heard his behaviour made police suspicious so they approached him. As constables Heather Feeney and Jordan McElhaney came towards McGuire at the Great Western Road bank he became very agitated and turned on the cops. The officers attempted to put handcuffs on McGuire but he overpowered both of them, causing the disturbance to spill from the bank onto the pavement outside.
