AMMON â The Bonneville County Sheriffâs Office has identified the suspect and two deputies who were involved in a deadly shooting Wednesday morning in Ammon. Peter Kerry England, 21, of Ammon, was shot and killed in an apartment complex parking lot after he reportedly pointed a gun at deputy Cooper Merrill and Sgt. Dino Vidal. Both deputies have been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated by the East Idaho Critical Incident Task Force. × Story continues below video According to a sheriffâs office news release, the incident started when an Idaho Falls Police Department officer responded to reports of a suspicious driver. When the officer attempted to perform a traffic stop, the driver, later identified as England, attempted to elude the officer.

POCATELLO â A 29-year-old home burglary suspect was struck with five of 15 rounds Pocatello police fired at him during an officer-involved shooting near the Red Lion Hotel in September, according to court documents filed earlier this month. The Idaho State Journal recently obtained two documents, a Sept. 30 affidavit in support of a search warrant and a search warrant return sheet authored on Nov. 20, both of which were filed on Dec. 15. The two documents shed more light on the circumstances involving Jake Lee Sheeler â the Pocatello man three police officers shot the night of Sept. 25 after he allegedly stole a revolver and went door to door trying to sell the gun during a tense multi-neighborhood manhunt.

Peter K. England, 21, died as a result of gunshots at around 4 a.m., according to a sheriff’s office news release. The entire shooting lasted under a minute. The incident began earlier that day in Idaho Falls. The Idaho Falls Police Department spotted a suspicious vehicle, and when they tried to pull it over, the vehicle took off. The officer radioed the description of the vehicle and the direction of travel.
