Rexburg working to fix potholes REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) - Potholes are springing up everywhere as the snow melts and it s the cars paying the price. The city of Rexburg is driven to fix the problem as soon as its workers can. So we received a numerous calls which is great to help us know where we have potholes so we can put out our city cruise to fix those, said Keith Davidson, Rexburg Public Works Director. Main street in Rexburg has seen many potholes over this month. “We get puddles, and as vehicles drive over those puddles, that pressure forces out the asphalt and the potholes will start to expand. We can go from a very small hole to a big giant pothole, said Davidson.

Idaho 55 near Smiths Ferry to reopen, improvement project will continue Idaho Transportation Department and last updated 2021-03-31 18:59:05-04 Idaho Highway 55 near Smiths Ferry will reopen at 8 Friday morning to a one-lane alternating traffic configuration, according to the Idaho Transportation Department. ITD closed the highway on March 16 after another rockslide in the area on March 15. The highway will remain this way except for regular closures Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. as construction crews blast.
