Dale Evans accepts the Plastics News Processor of the Year award at the Executive Forum in Naples, Fla.
Oshkosh, Wis. To hear Dale Evans say it, the people running Evco Plastics Inc. are simple, humble Wisconsin farm folk who are in the middle of a $12 million investment to expand in the United States, China and Mexico.
Don t be fooled by Evans soft-spoken demeanor. Evco, which turned 50 years old in 2014, helped pioneer the plastics factory of the future, dubbed the Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP), and established a mold-building factory in China and both big moves came in 1989, well before other plastics processors.

Injection moulder Evco Plastics has acquired a site in Georgia, USA, and added capacity to its Automated Molding Plant (AMP) facility in Wisconsin.
Evco’s purchase of the Cal 2 plant in Calhoun, located near its Cal 1 site, adds 40,000 sq ft to its operations. It will include a white room and liquid silicone rubber moulding capabilities, to meet demand from its medical and commercial lighting customers.
Cal 2 will also be a food-grade compliant facility and feature highly automated lights-out production. The inclusion of a white room allows for additional medical moulding opportunities, Evco said. The facility is expected to be fully operational by autumn 2021.
