At least one person was killed in a crash on Taft Highway on Thursday morning. Traffic is shut down in both directions.

At least one person was killed in a crash on Taft Highway on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol s incident page, two vehicles collided in the area of Taft Highway and Sunridge Avenue just after 4 a.m. Thursday.
The CHP reporting hard closures in both directions on Taft Highway.
The CHP reports a fatal crash early this morning has shut down both directions of Taft Hwy at Sunride Road. There is no estimated time for the highway to reopen. A semi-truck hauling milk overturned on Southbound Interstate 5 at the Lebec curve Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

(KERO) â (UPDATE 8:40 AM): All southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Lebec have reopened, according to the California Highway Patrol.

(UPDATE 7:45 AM): A semi-truck hauling milk overturned on Southbound Interstate 5 at the Lebec curve Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said the driver of the semi had fallen asleep and driven into the center divider. At that point, the drive awoke and reacted, but overcorrected and rolled onto its side.
