The Antonio Fire was reported to be burning in about a half-acre of medium brush just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Glendora Ridge Road and Mount Baldy Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The fire quickly traveled uphill and was reported to be at about 10 acres by 2:40 p.m., causing the closure of Mount Baldy Road and the Claremont Wilderness Park

The fire was reported to be burning in about a half-acre of medium brush just before 2:30 p.m. in the area of Glendora Ridge Road and Mount Baldy Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The fire quickly traveled uphill and was reported to be at about 10 acres by 2:40 p.m. Firefighting helicopters were deployed to aid fire crews in dousing the blaze. No structures were threatened by the fire.

Today, 43 firefighters are on the fireline, receiving assistance from five helicopters and 46 pieces of heavy equipment. An Incident Management Team and other support positions make the total number of personnel on the Nk’Mip Creek wildfire 146. An additional 100 firefighters have arrived in Canada from Mexico and will join suppression efforts on the Nk’Mip Creek wildfire tomorrow.
