A man who escaped his Perth hotel quarantine room by climbing down a makeshift bedsheet rope has been fined $4500 for the “breathtakingly arrogant” stunt.
Travis Myles flew from Brisbane to Perth on July 19 but did not have permission to enter WA and was directed to leave the state within 48 hours.
The WA man escaped hotel quarantine in Perth using bedsheets tied together to create a makeshift rope.

He was escorted to Great Eastern Motorlodge in Rivervale to isolate while he awaited a return flight.
