Saint Raymond School literally reads to succeed Officer Greg Sil of the Mount Prospect Police Department shares his favorite children s story with St. Raymond students.   Updated 4/22/2021 2:35 PM With over 85% of its students participating in the first St. Raymond School Read-A-Thon, the school raised more than $24,000 for school technology needs. St. Raymond School students enthusiastically took to their books and over a two week period logged more than 123,000 minutes of reading. Family and friends supported the students along the way with encouragement and financial support.   Parishioners, community leaders and former/current school staff showed their support by reading their favorite stories to the students, either by a video recording or outside in-person during Storywalk, which had students follow a story station-to-station along a walking path outdoors.

Get into virtual FanFest 2021 with Mount Prospect Library   Updated 3/15/2021 11:33 AM The Mount Prospect Public Library will host FanFest, an annual celebration of the world of fandom, during a weeklong event March 20-27. FanFest includes a variety of virtual programs and activities for all ages. Players can challenge friends and neighbors during virtual game sessions of Dungeons and Dragons, Among Us, Codenames, Forbidden Island, and a family game of bingo. Virtual trivia game themes throughout the week include TV Sitcoms, Disney, Sci-Fi and Fantasy Movies, Reality TV and Hamilton.   Children in grades K-eight are invited to learn tips for creating superheroes and villains from professional cartoonist Mark Anderson Monday, March 22, and then show off favorite costumes and dance moves during Costume Dance Party Saturday, March 27.
