TripActions has acquired UK travel management
company Reed & Mackay from its private equity owners. The terms of the deal
are undisclosed.
Reed & Mackay was founded in 1960 and
is best known for its high-touch service for clients in the insurance sector and wider
financial services. Private equity company Inflexion bought Reed &
Mackay in 2016 in a deal rumoured to have been worth around £170 million.
TripActions was founded by Ariel Cohen and Ilan Twig in California
in 2016 and recently secured
US$155 million in Series E funding, valuing
the travel and expense provider at US$5 billion. It recently announced Springer
Nature and Primark among its European client wins.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Reed & Mackay is a corporate travel management companby. Following the deal, it will retain its premium brand, employees, led by Fred Stratford, CEO, and tailored service for clients across more than 50 markets. Together, the group will partner to deliver a corporate travel and spend management solution for any company of any size around the globe.
The combined group will manage $5B in travel budget and serve more than 5,000 customers around the world, including leading companies such as Lyft, Nilfisk, Zoom, Lennar, and Springer Nature.

Juan Perez Floristan from Spain is the winner of the Rubinstein Piano Competition, which culminated today (Monday, May 3) at the Tel Aviv Charles Bronfman Auditorium (home of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, which played in today s finals). A total of six competitors, from the initial 32, had made it through to the final rounds.
Second place went to Shiori Kuwahara from Japan, with third place going to Cunmo Yin from China.
With a thousand audience members in the hall and many more watching from around the world online, the finalists had each over the past few days played piano quintets, classical concertos with the Israel Camerata Jerusalem and, finally, romantic concertos with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
