Rain and snow forecast Wednesday in Durango, but a high of 81 expected Saturday Umbrellas popped up Tuesday around Durango as rain showers moved through the area. There is a chance of isolated rain showers in lower elevations and snowfall in the high country late Wednesday afternoon.

Tuesday morning’s widespread rainfall across Southwest Colorado is expected to break up into isolated rainfall and snow in the high country Tuesday afternoon. A chance of isolated rain showers in lower elevations and snowfall in the high country returns late Wednesday afternoon.

A spring snowstorm is expected to move into Southwest Colorado on Saturday morning, bringing a boost to the region’s depleting snowpack levels in the high country.
Erin Walter, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, said Friday night into Saturday should remain clear, but with temperatures dipping below freezing.
