Elgin art exhibit celebrates Black culture in America   Elgin artist Freddrick D. Wimms curated the Black Then, Black Now, Black in the Middle . art exhibit at Side Street Studios in Elgin in honor of Black History Month. The exhibit features work from 30 artists, local and from across the country, and will run through the end of the month. Rick West | Staff Photographer   Jet Stream by Oak Park artist Lindsay Johnson is featured in the Black Then, Black Now, Black in the Middle . art exhibit at Side Street Studio Arts in Elgin. The work features a variety of media, including newspaper, acrylic, latex and surgical masks.
