the SALE, an annual two-day shopping event presented by Houston Tri Delta Philanthropies, Inc., the fundraising arm of the Houston Tri Delta Alumnae Chapter. Due to the pandemic, the SALE’s in-person shopping event has been cancelled but Houstonians can still “shop to cure childhood cancer” through participating retailers and markets this Friday through Sunday. 12-year-old in hospital after wrong-way crash on the North Freeway

It happened on the North Freeway near the Research/Lake Woodlands exit around 12:45 a.m.
Officials said the wrong-way driver in a Ford Taurus was going southbound in the northbound lane when he hit a minivan.
Firefighters worked nearly 45 minutes to help get a man, a woman and the child out of the minivan.
The alleged wrong-way driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Officials did not say if the wrong-way driver was intoxicated.

A driver going the wrong way on Interstate 45 crashed head on into a minivan, injuring two adults and a child early Sunday.
Dispatchers got calls around 12:45 a.m. that a driver southbound in the northbound lane on I-45 in a Ford Taurus. Eventually, the car crashed into the minivan near the Research/Lake Woodlands exit.
South Montgomery County Firefighters worked for about 45 minutes to free the male driver, a female passenger, and a 12-year-old female from the van.
The driver and child were taken to Memorial Hermann-Woodlands in critical condition. The child was later taken by Life Flight to the Texas Medical Center in Houston. The adult female passenger was in stable condition. The wrong-way driver was also in stable condition.
