This is in response to a site visit and water sample taken on July 21, 2021 by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The public should exercise caution in and around Lake Emerald in Orlando near South Mills Avenue and East Gore Street. Residents and visitors are advised to take the following precautions: Do not drink, swim, wade, use personal watercraft, water ski or boat in waters where there is a visible bloom.
