Canfora-Lakeside Bakery has many treats, but received global attention because of a cookie that s not so sweet. Okay, I’m going to put (the suspect s) face on a cookie, said owner Karen Krieg.
Security footage caught the suspect steal the cash register drawer. He gently lifts the expensive part of the register off, sets it to the side, grabs the cash drawer, unplugs it from the printer and the power station and runs out and closes the door behind him, Krieg said. He stops to look in the window and the security camera behind him caught his right side profile.

Around midnight on April 19, a man jimmied a lock open at Canfora Bakery and stole the cash drawer, said Karen Krieg, who owns the bakery with her husband, Eric. We decided to make the best of it and see if the community could identify him, Krieg said.
They took an image of the man from security footage and printed it on edible paper. The images were applied to eight dozen sugar cookies that were frosted with buttercream and decorated with piping and sanding sugar.
Within the first 20 minutes of posting pictures of the cookies on the bakery s Facebook page, they started receiving tips.
