LaVonne Hove
LaVonne Hove, age 88 of New Richmond, WI, died on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond. She was born the daughter of Leonard and Clara Jordahl in Lake Park, MN on August 26, 1932. LaVonne grew up in Lake Park and graduated from Lake Park High School, class of 1950. She grew up working at Jordahl’s Grocery Store, which her father and uncles owned. When she was young, she swept the floors, then with age came the responsibility of working at the cash register, which was much more fun. LaVonne married Alan Hove on September 23, 1951 at Lake Park Lutheran Church in Lake Park, MN. After her marriage to Alan, LaVonne was happy to be a stay-at-home mom with three boys, Wayne, Jim and Dan. In the two years after 94 percent of Wheaton North High School s class of 2018 graduated on time, 21 percent of those who attended Illinois community colleges had to enroll in remedial courses because they were not prepared for college-level classes, according to data from the Illinois State Board of Education.
Data from the class that graduated in 2018 shows 87 percent of Wheaton North students enrolled in two- or four-year programs at a college or university within 12 months of graduating high school, compared to 75 percent across the state.
Of the Wheaton North graduates attending Illinois community colleges, 3 percent took remedial courses in reading, while 16 percent took them in math and 10 percent took them in communications.

Ronald George Lueth, US Navy Retired, died from complications of the Coronavirus on January 5, 2021. A shattered femur kept him in a rehabilitation facility for 106 days. Finally ready for discharge, he instead contracted the virus from a staff member and died at Cape Coral Hospital Covid ICU.
Born in Itasca, Illinois, Ron was the first child of Ellen (Hoppensteadt) and Alvin Lueth. He attended St. Luke’s elementary school and Lake Park High School. After graduation in 1960, Ron enlisted in the US Navy where he had an exemplary 20-year career.
His penchant for organization, strategic thinking, planning and concise reporting soon brought him to the attention of Naval Intelligence. He was assigned to Guantanimo Bay, Cuba, and later to Pearl Harbor Hawaii, where he joined the Flag Administration Unit CINCPACFLT as a Soviet Naval Analyst.
