They are not leaving until demands are met.
That’s what protestors are saying after taking over an empty house right across the street from Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park.
“This started as a response and outgrowth of the protection of Cal Anderson against police violence,” said protest spokesperson who only goes by “Mel C.”
A group calling themselves housing advocates have clearly made themselves at home. They took over this empty property at 1106 East Denny Way Wednesday evening, right across the street from the park, saying they are doing it to support and bring attention to the city’s homeless community.
