Israeli study points to huge drop in symptomatic Covid-19 infections among people who received two doses of Pfizer jab Michael Howie
A new study in Israel has reported a 94 per cent drop in symptomatic Covid-19 infections among people who received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
The study, the biggest of its kind in the country to date, found that the same group was also 92 per cent less likely to develop severe illness from the virus.
The research was carried out by the health maintenance organisation Clalit, which covers more than half of all Israelis.
It compared 600,000 people who received two doses of the vaccine against a group of the same size, with matching medical histories, who had not received the jab.
