Man barricaded in Jack in the Box restroom arrested in Simi Valley

View Comments Simi Valley police on Tuesday arrested a woman who bit an officer and a man who barricaded himself in a fast food restaurant. The barricade arrest occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Jack in the Box, 1579 E. Los Angeles Ave., according to the Simi Valley Police Department. A patrol officer was in the area and identified a driver with outstanding felony arrest warrants. The officer followed the vehicle into the parking lot of the Jack in the Box, where a passenger got out of the car and ran into the eatery s restroom. The officer ordered the passenger to exit the bathroom, but the man refused to comply. Additional officers arrived and helped evacuate the restaurant as authorities negotiated with the barricaded man. After 15 minutes, he surrendered. A subsequent search of the restroom turned up a handgun and narcotics that police said belonged to the passenger.
