A crowded and five-hour Barrington Area Unit District 220 board meeting ended late Wednesday night with members unable to settle on a final policy for masks when students return to class next month.
Because the session was a special meeting, the board members could not vote on a policy had they agreed. That vote could come when the board meets again Aug. 10 10 days before the first day of school.

CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - Many kids are learning more about brain tumors as a Cordele woman publishes a childrenâs book about her personal experiences.

During the middle of the reading, she asked them, âWell, who else has a brain tumor?â
One of the cousins, Princeton, replied, âMy cousin Angie.â
The seized drugs

A man was arrested and suspected class A drugs were seized in Welwyn Garden City last week.
On Wednesday, February 24, officers from Welwyn Hatfield Operation Scorpion stopped a vehicle in Howlands after it was suspected of conducting a drug deal.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from Luton, was detained for a search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Around 70 wraps of suspected crack and heroin were seized, along with hundreds of pounds worth of cash.
PC Angela Wilcox, from Operation Scorpion, said: “We arrested the man on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply. He has been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.
