Three finalists hoping to be the next superintendent and president of College of the Desert laid out their experience for job, their visions for the future of the campus and how they would address the pandemic-induced enrollment decline during a three-hour community forum on Tuesday.
The finalists of 24 candidates are Martha Garcia, current superintendent and president of Imperial Valley College in Imperial County; Annebelle Nery, vice president of instruction and acting vice president of student services at College of the Desert; and Monica Flores Pactol, vice president of instruction at Folsom Lake College in Northern California.
Former superintendent and president Joel Kinnamon retired at the end of March, saying he wanted to focus on family.
