TRINIDAD-CRIME-Police investigating bloodbath BROOKLYN, NY – Trinidad and Tobago police were on Wednesday bracing for possible reprisals after eight people were shot and killed along the east-west corridor. “We are preparing for any reprisal that may occur within this division. The division is very volatile, given the number of shootings and murders we have been having over the years. ‘However, what happened this morning is something we will respond to and respond with the necessary force that is required,” said DCP (Operations and Intelligence) McDonald Jacob. Police said that they had been alerted to the shooting incident in Arima, east of here early Wednesday, where the bodies of Teshera McKenna, 39, and son Jordan McKenna, 19, were found in a car in the morning near a piece of land where they had been cultivating crops.

Five people, including married couple Mustaph and Amanda Mohammed, were killed. Another man, identified as 32-year-old Jasper Jones, was also killed in a separate shooting. Speaking with Newsday, Forde said he knew Jones from the area and was saddened to hear about his murder.
