Minnesota Publishing Group CEO Honored by Publishers Weekly
Adam Lerner, publisher and CEO of Lerner Publishing Group, was honored as one of Publishing Weeklyâs notable people of 2020.

Adam Lerner, Publisher and CEO of Lerner Publishing Group, has been honored by
Publishers Weekly for his achievements in 2020. Lerner is one of only nine book industry members selected for this honor. Since 2000, Publishers Weekly has been honoring people who have made a considerable impact on the industry or contributed to it in a positive way over the course of their career. For 2020, the âPerson of the Year,â was the book business worker.Â

There Might Be Lobsters tells the story of Suki, a dog who is scared of the beach. The waves, the sand, the possible lobsters it’s a lot for a little dog to worry about, and de la Peña says that kids living through these times will get that.
“I think so many kids right now can’t really identify why they’re anxious …” de la Peña says. “But there’s this feeling, there’s this darkness inside of them.”
While adults may try to examine and understand their anxiety, de la Peña says, “kids are experiencing it viscerally.”
