Anele “Nelli” Tembe, who was 22 years old, was remembered in a touching final send off by close friends and family at the Durban International Conference Centre on Friday.
Nelli, who was engaged to rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, died on Sunday morning after apparently falling from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town.
Due to Covid-19 safety precautions, attendance at the funeral was limited to 100 people, with only family and those chosen by the family allowed to attend in person.
AKA, who was among those who accompanied Nelli s body to Durban on Wednesday, was in attendance with his parents Lynn and Tony.

Graham and Colleen Sharp were driving on Tuesday when their caravan caught fire, burning the structure to the ground. The couple, that has volunteered in many Clermont community groups over the past two decades, had been living and travelling in the caravan for 23 years. A GoFundMe page has been created for the couple to assist them in purchasing necessities going forward. The caravan caught fire on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. They don t have a home and only the clothes that were on their back, the GoFundMe organiser wrote.
