ANAHEIM (CNS) - At least three additional vehicles were damaged by vandals who shot at them with BB or pellet guns on the Riverside (91) Freeway between Anaheim and Corona, authorities said today.
A motorist on the eastbound 91 in Corona told the California Highway Patrol that someone fired a projectile that hit the driver s side window on his sedan at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim was not injured.
Shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday, a Toyota Camry sustained damage from a BB or pellet that hit it in the area of the Corona (71) Expressway and the westbound 91. The motorist was not hurt.
On Thursday, January 14, 2021, at approximately 9:36 a.m., the Westminster Police Department received a citizen’s report of a possible deceased female in the area of Hoover Street under SR-22, within the city of Westminster.
Officers from the Westminster Police Department along with the Orange County Fire Authority arrived on scene, confirmed initial reports and determined the location was state property. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was notified and assumed the investigation.
The death of the victim, a Hispanic female between the ages of 25-35, appears to be suspicious in nature therefore, the CHP’s Border Division Investigative Services Unit will handle the investigation.
