On Thursday, January 14, 2021, at approximately 9:36 a.m., the Westminster Police Department received a citizen’s report of a possible deceased female in the area of Hoover Street under SR-22, within the city of Westminster. Officers from the Westminster Police Department along with the Orange County Fire Authority arrived on scene, confirmed initial reports and determined the location was state property. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was notified and assumed the investigation. The death of the victim, a Hispanic female between the ages of 25-35, appears to be suspicious in nature therefore, the CHP’s Border Division Investigative Services Unit will handle the investigation.
