NCB arrests 2 Zambians, says two new routes being used for smuggling heroin ANI | Updated: Jan 02, 2021 23:35 IST New Delhi [India], January 2 (ANI): The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested two Zambian nationals from the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport and seized 5.350 kg of heroin from their possession. While one of them was apprehended on December 25, another acuused was held on December 31, the NCB said in a statement. In the first incident, on 25/12/2020, acting on specific information, one Zambian national later identified as Mulapi Joshua was apprehended at T-3, India Gandhi National Airport. From the search of his luggage, 4.650 Kg heroin was recovered in the cavities made inside the luggage bag. The complete network of such traffickers was identified and further information was developed. Last Updated: India And Bangladesh Hold 51st DG-Level Border Coordination Conference In Assam As per reports, the meeting is said to conclude with the signing of a Joint Record of Discussions by both the Directors’ General of BSF and BGB.   India and Bangladesh on Tuesday kick-started the 51st Director-General Level Border Coordination Conference 2020. This is the first time that the Director-General Level talks between the two Border Guarding Forces (BGF) is being held in Guwahati, Assam.  The Indian BSF delegation is being led by DG BSF Rakesh Asthana, IPS while the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) led by the DG BGB Maj Gen Shafeenul Islam, BGBM (BAR) ndc, psc. Officials of the Indian Home Ministry and External Affairs Ministry will also be present from India s side. While Bangladesh would additionally be represented by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Home Ministry, and Foreign Ministry.

The statement emphasised simultaneous coordinated patrolling between the BSF and the BGB.
