“we have agreed that all native doctors in the state and traditional medicine dealers must within seven days today register with the Commissioner for Border Peace, with the Commissioner for health and with the Commissioner of Police,” Umahi said. There will be an executive order to this event and anyone that is caught doing otherwise will be arrested and will be prosecuted,” Umahi said.
The governor also placed 10 hours curfew on the state entry and exit points adding that the curfew will begin from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am and defaulters will pay N1 million fine.

The governor gave the directive on Thursday after a security meeting at the Government House in Abakaliki, the state capital, Umahi issued the ultimatum.
“All Native Doctors and Traditional Medicine Dealers in the state shall register with the Commissioner of Police, Commissioner for Health and Commissioner for Internal Security and Border Peace, within 7 days as part of security measures in the state,” he said.
“On recent Killings in the state, it was directed that Security agencies must do everything possible to bring perpetrators to justice, and must deepen collaborations and professionalism to fight the ravages of insecurity in the state.”

And for those who did the killings, the security agencies must bring them to book within 72 hours, they must do that.”

Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has mandated all native doctors in the state and traditional medicine dealers to register with the ministries of Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Health and Commissioner of Police (CP) within seven days.
Umahi disclosed this at the end of an enlarged security council meeting held at the state new governors lodge on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by all the security services chiefs in the state, 13 local government chairmen, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and a host of others.
According to the governor, anyone that failed to comply on the executive order will be arrested and will be prosecuted.
