The pleas of two Wellington students calling for a safer city nightlife have been heard by council with a sense of urgency .
Last Thursday Ella Lamont and Sophia Harrison, both 19, presented the results of an informal survey completed by nearly 3000 Wellingtonians.

Two young women tired of feeling scared on Wellington s streets have revealed a third of respondents to an anonymous survey experience sexual assault or harassment every weekend.
Victoria University students Ella Lamont and Sophia Harrison presented the findings of an informal online survey to Wellington City councillors at a committee meeting today.
A survey of nearly 3000 people on their experiences of sexual violence in Wellington was presented to council on Thursday, showing more than four in ten reported sexual assault.
