City moving forward with third mass foreclosure lawsuit

The City of Henderson Board of Commissioners authorized the move at its regular meeting Tuesday.
The City filed mass foreclosure actions in 2016 and 2019 to recover back taxes and code enforcement liens. Typically, 20 counts are included in such a proceeding, which has been effective in both recouping expenses for property maintenance and encouraging redevelopment.

Henderson Economic Development Director Missy Vanderpool and Chamber of Commerce President Ellen Redding updated the board on the results of the Small Business Assistance Program that recently concluded with 32 local small businesses being awarded nearly $300,000 in COVID relief assistance.
