Millbrook police say a Prattville woman faces several counts of stealing catalytic converters from vehicles.
Police say 46-year-old Angela Doris Waugh currently faces four counts of breaking and entering a vehicle. Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson says more charges could be coming.
Police say on Monday, July 12, they responded to the 4500 block of Highway 14 on a report of a woman stealing catalytic converters from vehicles parked at a business. The property owner says the woman abandoned the lawn mower that she was driving and fled to a pickup truck parked nearby that drove off on Highway 14.
Police say they discovered at least 24 vehicles had their catalytic converters removed. They say they developed Waugh as the suspect.

ELMORE COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - An Elmore County man has been arrested on sexual abuse charges.
James Edward Schultz has been charged with sexual abuse of a child under 12.
The affidavit states the abuse happened between the beginning of 2019 until June 2020.
Schultz was taken into custody Tuesday and placed in the Elmore County Jail on a $60,000 bond.

On Friday, April 16, Alabama state troopers arrested a man for Reckless Murder. Anthony Reed Gann, 29, of Tallassee is the man facing charges.
Police say a Tallassee teen was killed during a crash in which Gann was the driver of the vehicle. The crash happened on Friday, February 5 on Upper River Road in Elmore County. The car Gann was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. The teen was a passenger in the vehicle.
An investigation into the crash lead officer to charge Gann with Reckless Murder. He was taken to Elmore County Jail without incident and given a $60,000 bond.
