Oregon paper that endorsed defunding the police backtracks after shootings surge, admits it was a terrible idea

The Oregonian, Oregon’s largest local newspaper, retracted its previous endorsement for defunding the police when it published an editorial calling for the “While we supported the move at the time, we – and all Portlanders – should recognize what has also been lost.
