Shooting on Eldorado Drive in Billings, Suspect Unknown
An early morning shooting in Billings sent one individual to the hospital with “life threatening injuries,” according to the Billings Police Department.
In a post on the @BillingsPD Twitter page, Sgt. Peterson reports the shooting happened at 1:48am Thursday morning (6/3) in the 1400 block of Eldorado Avenue, which is two blocks south of Central Avenue off S. 14th Street West.

The victim is a 32 year old man who had “several gunshot wounds,” according to the report, and Billings Police say the suspect in the shooting is “unknown” at the time this story was published.

CLEARWATER BEACH A man whose body was found floating off of Clearwater Beach has been identified as Douglas A. Wright, a partner at powerhouse Tampa law firm Holland & Knight.
The firm confirmed Monday that the body found Sunday was that of Wright, 60, the firm’s operations and finance partner. The medical examiner’s office has not determined a cause of death, but a statement from the firm said he died of a suspected heart attack while swimming.
Police said that a Clearwater Fire and Rescue crew was called to retrieve a body at about 6 p.m. Sunday at the 1000 block of Eldorado Avenue, near a waterfront home listed in county records as Wright’s. Clearwater police spokesperson Rob Shaw said police don’t believe the death was suspicious. The body had no injuries, Shaw said, and there also appeared to be no boat or other vessel nearby. It is unknown how long he was in the water.

We have some unfortunate news today to report out of Florida, where a Biglaw partner was found dead in the water near his beachfront home this past weekend.
Douglas A. Wright, 60, the operations and finance partner of Holland & Knight’s office in Tampa, Florida, was found floating in the water just off Clearwater Beach on Sunday. While the medical examiner’s office has not yet determined the cause of his death, the firm said it is believed he died of a suspected cardiac event while swimming. CLEARWATER â A man was found unresponsive in the water off northern Clearwater Beach Sunday and died at a local hospital, police said.
A Clearwater Fire and Rescue crew was called to the 1000 block of Eldorado Avenue where the man was floating in the water about 6 p.m., according to Clearwater police. The man was brought ashore and taken to Morton Plant Hospital, where was pronounced dead, police said.

CLEARWATER, FL Clearwater Police have identified a man found floating on the north part of Clearwater Beach Sunday night as 60-year-old attorney Douglas Wright of Clearwater.
Clearwater Fire & Rescue and police were called shortly after 6 p.m. to the 1000 block of Eldorado Avenue where a man was found floating in the water off the beach. He was brought ashore and fire medics administered CPR. He was then taken to Morton Plant Hospital where he died.
