Outdoor dining making a return in Wolfeboro
April 14, 2021WOLFEBORO Town Manager Jim Pineo, offering an update from the town s Covid Task Force to the Board of Selectmen on April 7, said it authorized outdoor dining for several businesses that asked to use town property again for dining or parking - Burnt Timber, Bailey s Bubble, El Centenario and the Lone Wolfe Tavern. It also reinstituted a number of five-minute takeout parking spots in the downtown area.
Chairman Linda Murray suggested it was time to once again set up picnic tables in Cate Park. Many people frequented the park last summer and were able to take advantage of the outdoor seating, she noted.

Some COVID-19 restrictions in North Carolina have now been lifted.
With cases and other key metrics trending downward in North Carolina, Gov. Roy Cooper on Wednesday announced the state would ease gathering and occupancy restrictions and end its 10 p.m. statewide curfew starting Friday at 5 p.m.
For the first time since early into the coronavirus pandemic, the Democratic governor is allowing bars and taverns to offer indoor service. His new executive order also increases alcohol sale cutoff times by two hours from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and lets those businesses operate at 30% capacity up to 250 people.
