The Advancing Innovation in Adult Education Project will feature five innovative practices in adult education during a Career and Technical Education Month showcase webinar.
BETHESDA, Md. (PRWEB) February 16, 2021 Manhattan Strategy Group announced today the second round of innovative practices in adult education, as selected by the Advancing Innovation in Adult Education project. The project is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE). Five practices that enable adult learners to obtain the academic and occupational skills needed to succeed in college or advance in their careers were identified. The practices will be featured in a live showcase webinar with OCTAE leadership on February 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM ET during Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, to underscore the importance of partnerships between adult education and the CTE community.

The Neptunian Woman’s Club’s annual “For the Love of Learning” fundraiser is underway, through Feb. 5. Proceeds go towards scholarships for El Camino College and Mira Costa High students. The U.S. Department of Education released $21.2 billion Thursday as part of the coronavirus relief legislation Congress and President Trump approved in December to help colleges and universities nationally. Of that amount, more than $2.83 billion will go to public and private California colleges and universities.

The El Camino College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will offer a free two-part Restaurant Recover Webinar on Tuesday, January 19 and January 26, 2021, 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. to help local restaurants and municipalities develop COVID-19 recovery strategies.

The webinar is a virtual summit that will feature leaders in the field who are working in the trenches on effective COVID-19 recovery strategies in Southern California. Over 90 information-packed minutes of discussion on each of two days will focus on state-of-the-art best practices for restaurants. Topics include safety and accountability programs for food, patrons, and staff, as well as a review of methodologies for analyzing operations effectiveness, including menu efficiency and profitability.
